What PersonalLedger is for
PersonalLedger is a personal wellness and self-tracking tool. It helps you record your training, food, sleep, cycle, body, mood and reflections, and notice patterns in your own records over time.
It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, monitor or prevent any disease or medical condition, and it has not been assessed or certified as a medical device. [REGULATORY REVIEW REQUIRED]
Three kinds of information, kept apart
- Your data — what you logged. A count from your last period start, the hours you entered, the weight you measured. As accurate as what was entered.
- Library knowledge — general, sourced information (for example in the ingredient library). It's about people in general, not about you, and the evidence behind it varies; we say how strong it is.
- Estimates and patterns — what PersonalLedger calculates from your data, like an estimated period range or “you tend to sleep less before training days”. Always labelled, always uncertain, and a pattern is not a cause.
Cycle, fertility and pregnancy
- Cycle is not contraception and does not predict fertile days. Where it shows an estimated phase such as “around estimated ovulation”, that is a rough calendar label based on an assumed cycle pattern — not a fertility prediction. Never use it to avoid or plan pregnancy.
- Estimated period ranges are estimates from your own history. Cycles vary for many reasons.
- If you could be pregnant, a pregnancy test or a clinician is the way to know — not an app.
AI estimates
Meal-photo analysis produces an estimate of what's on the plate and its nutrition. It can be wrong — sometimes confidently. Review it before logging, and don't rely on it where precision matters medically (for example insulin dosing).
When to talk to a professional
- Always before making a medical decision, changing a medication, or starting a significant diet or training change because of something you saw in the app.
- When something is unusual for you or worries you — your records can be useful to bring along.
- Before fasting, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes or another condition you take medication for, or have or have had an eating disorder. Fasting in PersonalLedger is a timer with general information; it is not a programme or a recommendation, and it is only available from 18.
- If you're struggling with your mental health, with eating, or with thoughts of harming yourself, please reach out to someone now. In Sweden: call 112 in an emergency, or 1177 for healthcare advice; Mind's Självmordslinjen is reachable on 90101. In the United States: call 911 in an emergency, or call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Elsewhere, contact your local emergency number.
